Phil starting playing guitar as a child, and followed family members into his musical career.

Opera, traditional Irish and contemporary folk music influenced his early years, but as a teenager, rock music became Phil’s first love. Phil’s many years of choral disciplines as a child have given him a fantastic ability to harmonise, and his vocal ability is much in demand as a session artist.

During the 90’s Phil toured with various musical projects throughout Australia, and then as a session player with the Applejacks and other 60’s / 70’s bands in Europe.

During the 00’s he has played as a session guitarist/vocalist on numerous album releases and is credited in publications Q Magazine, Mojo, N.M.E and The Times.
